| Introduction | I was born and spent the first 15 years of my life in Stamford Hill. During that time it was far more multi-cultural than it is now. The family then went ‘up-market’ and joined the exodus, you either went to North or East London, we went East to Gants Hill. To cut a very long story short our family spent over 40 years in the area surrounded by a vibrant Jewish community. Times change and so does the community and many of the young Jewish population have now married and/or moved out of the area leaving a smaller, older community. It was also a time for changes in my life and although I have a wonderful family including two great children it was time for me to move and I chose Szczecin Poland. Read more in my Poland blog |
