| Introduction | Hi, I'm Sally. I've sewn for as long as I can remember, making things for the home, the family and dog beds for the pampered pooch! Growing up in the 60s everyone had sewing machines and made their own clothes and there were lots of fabric shops to choose from. I started sewing using a hand-cranked machine at school and we had to make our own bottle-green gym skirt for PE. I recall showing my first sewing teacher my skirt all tacked together, she took hold if it and pulled out all the stitches telling me they were not precise enough! Harsh words, they didn't put me off sewing but they did put me off tacking, so I just pin and get on with it. I hope you enjoy reading my blog, I'm not precise but I do love sewing! |
