Introduction	I was born in small town Illinois durring the year 1993. As a child I dreamt of becoming a scientist and a writer. I clung to these child hood convictions. I initially pursued a bachelors degree in chemistry with a minor in German. I had fully intend to become a research chemist and a professional writer until I met a Brazilian chemist who showed me the lonely life that awaited a chemist. I found that my real passion was for learning and helping others learn. I then transferred to a larger public university where I could pursue a major in English education with a minor in chemistry.
