About Mickey: Nobody expects to hear that they have cancer. It’s a devastating moment, filled with fear and followed by a flood of emotions, hopeless moments and worst - silence. In that moment, the best thing we can do is give loved ones something to lean on, something they can be inspired by for the long battle ahead of them. In 2010, Mickey Grosman of Orlando, Florida, was diagnosed with melanoma cancer. At the start of his own survival journey Mickey decided to add his own voice to the call for cancer awareness. He chose to do something significant to inspire hope in cancer patients and to encourage them to continue their fight despite unwavering obstacles. HENCE AMAZON 5000 – FOR THE CURE WAS BORN. Proceeds from the Amazon 5000 campaign will go to benefit cancer fighting organizations and aid cancer patients and their families.
