| Introduction | I became a local history enthusiast several years ago after moving to the historic neighborhood of Seven Oaks. My focus is sharing the untold history in the area of northwest Winnipeg: the North End, West Kildonan, and Old Kildonan. In 2024, I founded the Seven Oaks Historical Society to record, preserve, and promote the history of northwest Winnipeg for present and future generations. Meetings happen the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm at the Bleak House Centre. On a typical day, you’ll find me walking somewhere in between the two parks and admiring the neighborhood where I’m so fortunate to live. |
