| Introduction | I decided to try to give back to those who have given me so much enjoyment over the years. I became friends with Bob "Boxcar" Carter of Those Delta Rhythm Kings about four years ago and after having met him and seen several of their shows, I started trying to help them find new places to play. I has some success which encouraged me to continue helping them. We were able to land two shows in Canada for them at the Windsor and London, Ontario blues fests where they were well recieved. I was able to get them into what was a new blues venue in Dearborn, MI called the Tenny Street Roadhouse. I was saddedned last year to learn that Tenny Street had closed after just two years in business. I began to think about how I could help more bands who truly deserve to be heard. Lever's Blues is the medium with which I plan to do so. I have made friends in dozens of countries in blues chat rooms over the past decade and now am using the power of the fans to help unsigned blues acts gain notoriety and increase booking opportunites. It is truly amazing what can be done by a bunch of fans working together. We Are Keeping the Blues Alive!! |
