Introduction	Typical dinner conversations back home usually came down to what's cooking for lunch the next day. While I always did think Mom/Dad/Grandmom were great cooks and I'd be amused to see them getting excited even over something as trivial as a ripening jackfruit . My reaction at this point in time was why waste a jackfruit by turning it into something and spend hours doing so, when you can just eat it rightaway!..Little did I realise I'd turn into exactly one of them once I moved out. Grad school was probably the first time I realised that I actually enjoyed cooking(Oh yeah...it gave me a welcome break from research) Married to a 'Pattar'who lives to eat as well, cooking now has become a major part of my life This blog is an attempt to post some of those recipes that take me back home, back to the times where Amma would cook and I'd eat!.
