| Introduction | My name is Robert Alan Brush, I turned 52 years old on May 3rd. My wife's name is Dorothy, and we have 3 children. Christina, Clarence and Joseph. I am now a grandfather to Olivia Alexis, parents, Clarence and Stacey. I am a published Poet, an amateur musician and a survivor. In 2004, I was elected Delhi Citizen of the Year. In that same year, I was also awarded the Ontario Lung Association's Meritorious Service Award, for 25 years of dedicated service and valuable partnership in the cause of improving respiratory health.I was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis / Bronchiectasis at a very young age. I am the recipient of 2 Dbl Lung Transplants. Both transplants were performed at Toronto General Hospital. 1st August 18/98, and 2nd, June 25/01. On June 25/2017, I celebrated my 16 yr anniversary of my 2nd transplant. Currently, I retired my position as secretary of the Delhi District Chamber of Commerce after 20 years. I have been involved in many local charity events, and have served on the Board of Directors for the Lung Association. I am an advocate for National Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness, and also speak on my personal life of receiving 2 dbl lung transplants. |
