| Introduction | People always say “When life gives you lemons...” But what do you do when you live under a lemon tree? My life hasn’t been easy, in fact it’s been a series of unfortunate events since as long as I can remember and I’m sick to death of lemonade. But it’s my life, and it’s my tree. I have two beautiful children and a husband that inexplicably adores me. My oldest, my sweet little girl, is a little clone of myself–the good and the bad. Ariauna is so much like me sometimes it’s scary. My son Calvin is straight out of the comic strip itself. Every day is a riot with him and he’s a huge reason I started this blog. He also suffers from severe asthma and that fact has changed our family’s life in a major way. I love to write. I hope you find truth and humor in my stories, my thoughts. I may seem to have a negative outlook at times but I prefer to think of it as realistic. Sometimes one raw lemon is easier to stomach than a gut full of lemonade. Few people know that true optimism is unrelenting persistence in the face of adversity. I live by that. |
