Introduction	Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog. My poems and essays are born out of my personal experience and thoughtful observations of the world in which I live. I want to write my life, but I hope for your life to be touched by the realization that we have uncovered a common thread of feeling. I am blessed with a loving family and a beautiful environment in which to write. In spite of challenges (and who doesn't have them?) I continue to search for moments of perfection. Favorite movies	Amadeus, Out of Africa, The American President, Casablanca, The English Patient, My Fair Lady, The Shawshank Redemption, Lawrence of Arabia, Moonstruck, E.T., Dr. Zhivago
Favorite music	Anything by Brahms, Rachmaninov, most Bach, Puccini operas. Love the old classic ballads, Eagles, soft jazz. Eclectic, no? Also love Il Divo!
Favorite books	State of Wonder and Bel Canto, both by Ann Patchett, Pillars of the Earth, Cutting for Stone,Pride and Prejudice, Love in the Time of Cholera, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Atonement, Beloved, The Kite Runner,The Glass Castle, The Help
