IntroductionI started this journey of discovery after my wife of 36 years died unexpectedly from heart failure in 2004. I'm still working through the loss but the book "Tinkerbell Jerusalem" which I talk about in my 2013 blog entry opened my eyes to a wonderful world that I am exploring every day. In my "previous life" I owned an insurance agency that specialized in Aviation Insurance. I was a pilot and had an airplane from the time I was 21 until I retired at 53. Haven't flown as a pilot since and although I love talking flying and airplanes, I really don't miss the flying. Little kids have been a driving force in my life for years. While I lived in Salem, VA I helped with our Church nursery every Sunday. And also ran a nursery for Somalian Bantu pre-schoolers while their mothers took English classes. I still feel called to work with kids and my blog tells of 2007 summer's adventures. I don't know what's next. But the publisher of "Tinkerbell Jerusalem" has taught me to "SUPA" - "Show Up and Pay Attention" every day to see where God will lead me. In 2007 He led me to Carol Wheeler. We married on April 14, 2009 and I've settled down back in Salem with a new family.
