| Introduction | I want to be a man. With all my heart, all my mind, and all my soul I want to passionately pursue a life that glorifies God. But I don't want to be a passive, church-tamed, pansy. I want to be a manly man. Laugh if you must, but this desire burns in me. I want to boldly lead, passionately love, tenderly care, faithfully fight, selflessly serve. I want to win my bride's heart and spend the rest of my life winning it all over again. I yearn to proclaim the beauty of this command: Love your wife as Christ loves the Church. I long to raise godly children who will not get lost in my work or my own selfish desires. I won't check out. I won't give up. I will fight and die fighting. For God's glory and my family's good. I will dedicate my life to serving His Bride and lead my family to do the same. I will not give up on Her again. Only by His grace do I breathe. |
