In 1997 graduated the University of Fine Arts of Bucharest, specialized in ceramics art. Member of Visual Artists` Union of Romania since 1998. Member of initiative group in Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery project. Member of board of Decorative Arts department of Union of Visual Artists of Romania, between 2011-2015 and now is President of Decorative Arts department. Since 1996 till now she exhibited in Romanian art galleries and since 1997 in galleries from: Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Germany, solo exhibitions and group. | Interests | Georgiana Cozma este genul de artist care își constuiește procesul de creație în jurul unui concept care îi dictează în cele din urmă tehnica, materialele și forma lucrării. Face parte dintr- o generație de artiști care au avut să-și asume rolul lor într-o manieră extrem de gravă ce începe să construiască și să recupereze ceea ce a fost pierdut în timpul lungilor ani, când România a fost izolată și lipsită de informare și comunicare cu țările din Europa de Vest. Poate că acesta este motivul pentru care Georgiana Cozma este atât de preocupată de teme cum ar fi comunicarea, inter-relațiile umane, cunoașterii de sine și de auto-exprimare dar și a subiectelor ce sunt o parte activă a unei societăți de zi cu zi în schimbare, (...). Georgiana Cozma is part of the new wave of Romanian intellectuals that tried, in a post - communist Romania, to bring Romanian art to European and international level. They are a generation of artists that had to assume their role in an extremely serious manner and starting to build and recuperate what was lost during the long years when Romania was isolated and cut off from information and communication with the Western European Countries. Maybe, that is the reason why Georgiana Cozma is so preoccupied with themes such as communication, human inter-relations, self knowledge and self-expression, woman’s condition in nowadays, our becoming as individuals that are an active part of an everyday changing society, the relation between tradition and consuming society brought along with the new imported democratic system, between spirituality and our daily duties. (…). She is the kind of artist that builds her creational process around a concept/an idea that finally dictates the technique, the materials, and the shape of her work.
