Introduction Who am I? My parents gave me three names. The older I become I think they express who I am very well. At last I'm beginning to appreciate my names. Joan- my everyday self,a self that is becoming muddlier and forgetful. I suspect it is a case of my real self just showing more. Mabel- after my mother who called herself Mae. Mabel is my crazy self that enjoys being with others.. she does daring things like sky-diving and likes loud music and dancing; she sometimes says the wrong thing and enjoys an argument and does dumb things like spilling her wine. Mabel embarrasses me less and less as I grow older and I celebrate her more often these days. Ivette- the day dreaming/ contemplative me who loves silence and music, art and poetry, books and dancing and being alone. Then there is my fourth name, Elizabeth..my Confirmation name. The part of me that has a deep relationship with Life, God, Universe.. whatever I dare call the Inexplicible and Un-nameable Sempiterna.. Forever. Me. I am turning into a Dangerous Old Woman who is in awe of being here on this amazing planet in this awesome universe and realising more and more how little we know.
