Introduction There's something about murder I find oddly relaxing. Although I read Agatha Christie early on, it's only been in the last 5 years that I really got into murder mysteries. Thanks to PBS, I've always been into the Brits. (For years I wondered what my Mum saw in Inspector Morse and now I know! Though I must admit I prefer Lewis because of the stronger story lines and of course, Hathaway.) A couple of friends insisted I read Henning Mankell and that got me hooked on the Scandinavians. I started crabbycatsbookblog which just turned out to be mostly about mysteries so I thought I'd write another blog exclusively on the genre. My other passion is visiting Paris though something always seems to go wrong on every single trip. I always forget between trips until the same thing happens again! Looking over my travel journals, it seemed only natural to put this in a blog. What else could I call it but Pissed off in Paris? Needless to say, books have always been my big thing in both my personal and professional life. I think anything else anyone needs to know about me probably comes out in my blog.
Interests Books, my dog, travel (especially to Paris!), Dr. Who and Torchwood, Fringe, PBS, baking, writing pissed off letters to the editor and assorted politicians! I'm more Mutter Museum than Musee D'Orsay.
Favorite Movies The English Patient, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Way We Were, Oscar and Lucinda, Camelot, Carrington, Sense and Sensibility, Atonement.
Favorite Music Tapestry by Carole King, Chet Baker, Carly Simon, The Beatles, James Taylor, Harry Chapin, Peter White.
Favorite Books The Black Path by Asa Larsson, The Magician's Assistant by Anne Patchett, The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, In the Night Cafe by Joyce Johnson, The Crimson Petal and the White, anything by Fred Vargas.

Why do I need a random question?
