| Introduction | Audre Lorde said, "If I didn't define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people's fantasies for me and eaten alive." And so by choosing my blog's name as Femenistique and adopting the feministic approach as the predominant theme of my articles, it is to show people from all walks of life, whether males or females, that my own identity and personality are what constitutes my character, beliefs, and ideologies. Feminism doesn't just mean acting for women's rights in the oppressed cultural bounds they live in, it's a statement and a cult for all those hoping for freedom of repressed thinking, for all those hoping that the iron bars around their privacy may someday be dissipated. Oppression of thinking is the enemy of every human soul. |
