| Introduction | Childhood obesity is a growing problem in the United States. Research has found that school-based interventions can be effective in targeting childhood obesity. Using the social cognitive theory, this school based obesity intervention will seek to improve the BMI of school aged children through self regulation, incentive motivation and reciprocal determinism. NOTE: This blog does not specifically or directly address obesity so as not to impact the self-esteem and/or body image of children. |
