Introduction	I'm a musician and music teacher, living in a gorgeous old house in a small town in northern Alberta, Canada. I'm living a simple life, growing a garden filled with delicious vegetables, fruits, and soul nourishing flowers, bartering with nearby producers of organic meats, fruits and veggies. I host house concerts for Canada's Home Routes concert series featuring fantastic live music from all over the Americas.
Interests	arts and music; organic gardening; cycling, kayaking, soap and wine making, simple, sustainable lifestyle; the meaning of life; travel; recycling; living simply; my Portuguese Water Dog
Favorite movies	anything thought provoking or fun. no high-speed chases and billion dollar pyrotechnics please. love cartoons and animated movies.
Favorite music	almost anything in moderation, particularly if there's a violin/fiddler participating. especially fond of acoustic music in small friendly groups, as i'd rather play than listen any time. number one on the long list of favorites is celtic music.
Favorite books	i'll read almost anything... fond of biographies, mysteries and how-to books. like to re-read old classics. love a good mystery. not keen on 'the lives of the rich and useless'. i want to be inspired or learn something.
