| Introduction | I have worked as an (unlicensed) lifeguard, restaurant manager, work placement counselor, factory worker, etc. I spent 30 years at GM as a UAW member--most of which was centered in bargaining contracts and securing work for the UAW. During my last eight years with the UAW I also served as a United Methodist pastor a job I continued after my retirement from GM in 2007. I continued at the UMC through 2012, and have been pastor at a United Church of Christ since 2013. I am a liberal--more rare in my current occupation than I like. In 2007 I co-founded a free health clinic which still operates today. |
