Introduction	Welcome to Seasoned Survival. I was inspired to start this blog while listening to several podcasts on modern survivalism and self defense. Great podcasts all, but none of them seemed to address the challenges of applying these skills to the more "seasoned" citizens of us out there. My mother used to say, "Just because there's snow on the rooftop, doesn't mean there's not a fire in the fireplace". It was her way of saying,"I ain't dead yet." Being Seasoned has its rewards and its challenges, but we still have the same desires for all the things we did before we became so "wise". Surviving the seasoned years of our lives shouldn't be sitting around waiting for the Grim Reaper to show up, being dependent on the occassional relative to come for a visit, or struggling to make ends meet. There should be a quality of life to "the golden years." And I want us all to be able to find it. I hope you will join me on the journey. I want to give a special shoutout to Eric Shelton from the Handgun Podcast, Carl, Tommy and Stan from The Gun Dudes and Jack Spirko and everyone at The Survival Podcast for their encouragement and inspiration.
Interests	gardening, guns and shooting, canning, Sea Cadet, politics, Patriotism, Supporting Our Troops, getting kids especially teens involved with prepping Sea Cadets and shooting sports, finding ways to help the greatest generation keep connected, taking classes at the community college
Favorite movies	There are too many to list. Old time ones: Harvey, Holiday Inn, Bell Book and Candle Newer Ones: Family Man, Die Hard series, especially the last one, Serenity, Hunt for Red October,Zombieland
Favorite music	I love all music, except Rapp. Anything from songs from the late 40's up to now, from classical to country.
Favorite books	I Sniper, The Bible, The Book of Unspeakable Truths, most of Michael Chrchton's stuff.
