| Introduction | I've picked the display name "Thymologian" because it sounds sort-of like "theologian." Theologian derives from the Greek words "theos" meaning god and "logos" which is badly translated as "study of," but "the word" about something or "that which is said" about something (Yes, I studied ancient Greek) is closer to its meaning. So "theologian" kinda means "the study of God." The Greek word "thymus" is usually translated as "soul," but "inner being" or "inner spirit" is closer, I think. So, I put these two Greek words together and created "Thymologian" or "word from the inner spirit." You see, an atheist can be poetic--sort of. |
