Introduction	I've always thought there's something a little bit wrong with travelling the quickest and most direct route from A to B (it's one of the reasons I hate flying). Hurrying to your destination via the fastest, easiest and most logical way misses a very significant point: the journey. Shouldn't life be less about the destination and more about discovering the cool things that lie along the way? I think so. I've found that taking the alternative route (both physically and metaphorically), discarding both A and B in my life equation and discovering the amazing world that lies off the main road is the only road for me. Needless to say I haven't followed the normal path most newly qualified occupational psychologists do...
