Introduction About me? Well, I'm married, originally from Hawaii of Portuguese ancestry, retired, Catholic, very Conservative, and not Politically Correct. I'll always be a U.S. Marine and old-fashioned. A lot of who I am comes from growing up on my grandfather's ranch in Kunia on Oahu. As for living the life, while age and injuries stops me from doing gatherings, caring for calves, or eating dust during brandings, I still care for my horses. As for my writing style? I write the same as if we were talking over a cup of coffee. As for my blog, it has certainly evolved over the years. I enjoy writing about horses, cattle, guns, ranching, farming, rural America, and Cowboy values, while I also share Conservative commentary and stories about important or overlooked current events. I mostly enjoy providing you with factual unbiased articles on American history. As for history, I like doing my own research, going through period newspapers, court documents, arrest records, and much more to compare information and skip past the conjecture, speculation, and fiction, just to find the truth. Sadly, there is a lot of fiction that's out there when it comes to history that's being passed off as the truth.
Interests Writing, researching period newspapers and court records, my horses, being a member of the Calaveras County Sheriff's Volunteer Unit, target shooting, ranch work, going to rodeos, advocating Conservatism, and American History.

You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?

I sing in the shower because the acoustics make me sound like Dean Martin. LOL!
