| Introduction | Doug and I have been called to serve 18 months to the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. This is an opportunity to do full time service for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nauvoo is a place that many of our mormon ancestors came through. Although it was just a short time, those early saints built a community out of a swamp land, built homes, built a temple--and then were forced out to move west. In a way we are telling the stories of these pioneers, representing them in what they would share. |
