| Introduction | I'm a Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon. That basically means I speak both "tech" and "business", so I can coordinate between the two. I used to be a software developer, then I was a Field Support Engineer, and now I do this. I've been with Amazon for just about 6 years, and I was with Microsoft for 9 years before that. We moved to Spain with Amazon in 2020, right in the middle of the COVID pandemic. I started this blog to record what it's like navigating in a new country. It has given me a new appreciation for all of the immigrants who move to the US each year, looking for something different, and hopefully better. Moving to a new country is not for the timid!
