Introduction	I am a student filmmaker at The University of Texas Austin. This blog will document my on set and preparation experiences throughout the final semester of my senior year. I work primarily as director of photography, assistant camera, and gaffer, utilizing both film and digital mediums. This semester I am already scheduled for a few interesting shoots and I'm sure there will be more to come. Besides working on these shoots I am also preparing to make my thesis film and hope to share the experience of creating a successful short film from beginning to end. My goal for this blog is to share stories of successes and failures that can hopefully be beneficial to not just me, but anyone reading. +john
