Introduction I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a multi-faceted individual. Why am I "split" in four? Well...Ninina represents me in my childhood in Cuba; Yoyi represents my "flip"--and most perceptive--side as a teenager; Maggi came into being at around age 19 -- she's still around; however, my goal is to be Georgina. For Georgina encompasses all of us!
Interests Paying attention to the world (and then often writing about it). As Bill Clinton used to say: "I can feel your pain." I'm an amateur sociologist--the humorist in me dictates as such...
Favorite Movies Currently: Inside Llewyn Davis; Gone Girl. My childhood favorites: The Sound of Music; Doctor Zhivago. My adult favorites: The English Patient; Sunshine; most of the World War II historical dramas. Maleficent. Selma. So many, actually...
Favorite Music The soundtrack from Inside Llewyn Davis. Almost every classical composer; with a predilection for Brahms. Opera. Doo-wop. The great Roy Orbison. Edith Piaf. Cuco Sanchez. Anybody and everybody whom Berry Gordy produced: Michael/Diana. Sam Cooke/Ray Charles. Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey (and she's Whitney's legitimate successor!). And the best of the best: Nat King Cole!!
Favorite Books Childhood: those little biographies; Little House series; Donna Parker/Trixie Belden; A Little Princess. Teenage years: Herman Hesse; Kurt Vonnegut. Shakespeare...always. Tennessee Williams. Admit to having liked Dan Brown (DaVinci/Angels & Demons). All my Bali-related books. Almost anything with a good turn of words--the editor in me prides herself in separating the (old and new) good from all the commercial muck out there--

If I'm a humorist, why am I aspiring to write about basketball ;-)?
