Introduction | Former teacher, principal, camp counselor and program director. Doctoral candidate. I am curiously attracted to word reason and love to share the fun with anyone who will listen, especially educators and students. Language (the stuff of thought) is a tremendous gift. I'd like to see it appreciated and understood more fully. If we promote interest in words and phrases, we prime the pump for vocabulary growth. As students become word-savvy, they experience a greater sense of belonging in a literate, highly verbal society. Because vocabulary is pivotal to comprehension, I have authored interactive materials for K-12. More info at my website (link at left) or visit my publisher: www.soprislearning.com |
