| Introduction | I created this blog after my second pregnancy loss. I had a first trimester (12/2010 @ 8 wks) and one second trimester loss (5/24/11 Lindsey Nichole @ 18w5d), another first trimester loss January 2013. In 2012, during my third pregnancy, they found that I am a chronic carrier of Group B Strep and I am prone to bladder infections that irritate my uterus, which ultimately causes my cervix to funnel and eventually dilate. Had a cerclage placed at 21w1d on January 23, 2012, while pregnant with my son. It is possible that I have an incompetent cervix. I have been married to my wonderfully supportive husband since June 2007. |
