| Introduction | I was born at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia and spent the first 18 years of my life serving as a dependent in the Air Force. From Virginia we traveled to Michigan, Indiana, Budapest, Minesota, Maryland, Japan, Utah, Virginia, Texas (where I graduated High School), Albuquerque, Tallahassee, Albuquerque, Miami, Albuquerque, Tallahassee (from 1976 to 2006), and Leesburg. I attended college (undergraduate) at both Florida State University and the University of New Mexico where I received a degree in Dance in 1975. I then attend Florida State University where I received a Master's of Fine Arts in Dance. I owned my own dance studio for about 10 years. In 2001 (at the age of 50) I went back to school and earned a Education Specialist Degree in Social Science Education. I was married for 20 years and divorced. I have two children and two grand children. I taught History and Geography at community college from 2003 to 2006. I have been teaching at Monroe High School since 2006. |
