Introduction | was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. My parents have been a huge influence teaching me the values of hard work and honesty. I have carried these values through to my business career. I spent my youth pursuing athletics. In high school, I continued sports and focused my studies on science thinking I was going to pursue a medical career. I guess I wanted to be Dr. Sanjay Gupta. After high school, I immediately entered the University of Saskatchewan and began pre-med. I soon realized that I just was not as interested in science as I thought I was. I have always been interested in humanities and in my second year of university took a history class for fun. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so began my studies in history. From history, I learned that there is much to be learned from the past. Most importantly, I learned the power of "critical thinking" and effective oral and written communication. After a brief period pursuing a Masters Degree in history, I realized that I wanted more excitement in life and decided to pursue international business. So began my first business at my kitchen table at the age of 24. I have never looked back. |
