After Maria gave all her "valid" career options the metaphorical finger, her brain sold off its prime real estate like warm caramel doughnuts and it is now inhabited by a variety of strange and persistent residents that range from pseudo book-selling, wannabe vampire-slaying vigilantes, to an entire art school menagerie. Needless to say, Maria doesn't get a lot of sleep. When she ventures outside of her head, it's usually to dust, eat dessert or threaten spiders.
