| Introduction | The ICT industry has grown rapidly since 2003 and there is a need for computer knowledge and applications in small and big enterprises, schools, churches, NGOs, local and corporate businesses. The government has supported the ICT industry by implementing the policies that have eased the importation of IT equipments at affordable prices. There is however still a challenge of acquiring the skills to empower our communities with the knowledge to make technological advancements. However, access to affordable training centres at favorable terms is a great challenge to this primarily because most of these training institutions are inclined on a profit motive. This therefore cuts out many and even for those interested are hard-pressed in complying with the unfavorable terms. Notwithstanding the above, the need for CAL to develop affordable training centre is paramount. |
