Introduction	I retired from teaching literature at Wheaton College in Massachesetts and started an new career in studies of ledger art. In 2003 I curated an exhibit of 27 new drawings by Spokane ledger artist George Flett. And in 2013 my book, Women and Ledger Art: Four Contemporary Native American Artists was published by the University of Arizona Press.
