| Introduction | I'm a regional Director for the K-12 California Technology Assistance Project for region 1. The region is the most rural in California and I have been expanding professional development by using distance learning tools. We are now moving in the direction of wanting to offer online blended courses to middle and high school students from necessary small, small and medium districts. My goals is to facilitate teachers embracing Web 2.0 communication tools that allow them to build a virtual community of learners. |
| Interests | Educational Technology, distance learning, gourmet food, mountaineering, scuba diving, reading, art. |
| Favorite movies | His Girl Friday, the Russian version of Solaris, The Spaghetti western films with Clint Eastwood and Stanley Kubricks work including Dr. Strangelove and many foreign ones. |
| Favorite music | Right now I'm enjoying This Deed by Electrolane and Furr by Blitzer Trapper, Feist, Ben Sollee, Sling and Carla Bruni. I love a lot of different types of music like Pablo Casals etc. |
| Favorite books | Having been schooled in Europe, my taste is all over the place from English to French, Italian and Spanish and I do read a lot. It's too hard to choose but I have a tendency to go after history and literature that has well developed characters and plot. I like reading my husbands Scientific American; there is always something for me to think about. Like everyone, I read books related to my work. |
