| Interests | Canning relishes, pickles, gourmet mustards, jams and jellies, tomatoes. Growing blackberries, boysenberries, rhubarb, for making pies, cobblers, pancake syrup, toppings for cereal and ice cream and homemade yogurt or eating straight from the garden! Growing roses, day lilies, sunflowers, violets, and other beautiful and fragrant flowers and bushes to enjoy both while outside and bringing them inside to beautify my home. I love making cold-pressed soaps, knowing my family is getting the purest, gentlest, moisturizing from something I made at a fraction of the cost. Creating washcloths and dishcloths by simple knitting. Sewing clothes for my 6 grandchildren and their stuffed animals and La La Loopsys dolls! Baking breads, rolls, muffins and buns, biscuits and scones and cobblers for our daily use and cakes, cheesecakes and other fancy desserts for times of celebration. Chickens! We have 9 girls and I love the beauty of each individual breed and their funny, distinct personalities. I love the way they follow us around, even trying to come inside! They add so much joy to our lives! Two large and two small parrots share our home, along with 2 loving cats. Our newest interest is beekeeping. We are in the research stage right now. I can't wait to get started! |
