| Introduction | The Goolphipp Award system: 1 = Total Tanker 2 = Wait for DVD 3 = See the Cheap Matinee 4 = Worth 11 Bucks 5 = Opening Night Excellence I’m the “gool.” My name is Goolsby (pronounced “ghouls-bee”). I’m a details kind of person. I catch the small things and hold on to them like treasure trolls. I can appreciate random moments and over look other things. I’ll give any movie a chance. I think most movie critics are really movie elitist, and I bite my thumb at them. Movies are not about high white horses, they are about simple experiences. I might actually throw peanuts if I had them. I’m the “phipp.” My name is Phipps (pronounced “fips”). We’ve all been here: you’re sitting in a movie theater, watching an R-rated movie – and then some yahoo parent walks in with her two young sons. They sit in front of you, and the inevitable sex scene starts to play, and all you can think is “WHY would you bring young boys to a movie like this!? Don’t you know boys are visual!? What kind of parent are you!?” That’s why I do what I do. I am concerned with the practical, so you can have a good movie experience. |
