| Introduction | I'm an American of Ukrainian descent, 2rd generation. Both sets of grand-parents came over fleeing during WW2, both parents college educated, bi-lingual thanks to family and schooling here in NJ but...I attribute much of my quiet demeanor to my birthplace, near Oxford in the United Kingdom back when the Beatles were on their first US tour! I came home a year later for my first birthday in NJ. Second tour was at 15-17 and graduated high school from the American School in London. College in NJ, BA in elementary education. Taught at my former grammer school that has since closed its doors. Changed career to retail, currently with company for 10 years, now at its corporate headquarters. Lost my Mom last year to breast cancer that was found too late, saw her struggle courageously for 6 years. She never knew that I was diagnosed soon after her funeral but know that she is beside me when I am on this life altering journey. With support of family, a few friends and those who mentor me, especially day to day by John gives me strength to carry on as we journey on. |
