| Introduction | I believe being born in the year 2000 has subconsciously been an influence in my life and my thought process. As I have got older the deep satisfaction of growing in age with the year has just made sense. ‘Making sense’ has also been present with my practice and how I approach life; Things just need to slot in to place and have a reason. Growing up on the Isle of Wight has only fuelled this ideal, as the Island is a whole up until its coastlines, there is an end to the place surrounded by sea, everything in one place. I have my limit of what I call home physically there. Otherwise, I’m swimming. However, now I’m older I move about, so ‘home’ has multiple meanings and now I’ve had to reevaluate my process of thinking and as it should, it has influenced my work. Now, I still enjoy reason and sense, but I’ve developed the need to flip things upside down and find alternative routes to an idea. Understanding a balance. |
