| Introduction | I was baptised at the Church of Christ at age 8, joined the Friends Church at age 10, joined the Church of God at age 16, went to various Christian and public schools, 7 total, finally graduated from a seventh day adventist school in 1984. Needless to say I was pretty messed up theologically. I left home and joined the Army in 1984, where I found myself just wanting to party and got kicked out for drug and alcohol abuse in 1987. For the next year I kept the party going and fell into a more serious drug addiction. Finally I cried out to God and He heard me. He sent the help I needed, delivered me from my addictions and changed my life forever. I met my wife and fell in love very quick, getting married just 4 months after we met. 24 years and 7 kids later, we love each other more than ever. For the past few years we've felt God calling us to plant a church. In Sept. 2011, we left our careers, loaded up the kids and moved to Miami and started ReMerge, Inc., which is an outreach to the poor and will eventually become a church for people that are very disconnected from God and where Loving God and Loving people is not just a slogan, but, a way of life. |
