| Introduction | In Tanzania, sharing the love of Christ as a Youth and Children's Ministry Mobilizer. I will be traveling the country from the mountains to the seas, encouraging others to prioritize ministry to the key 75% of the population: YOUTH AND CHILDREN! I arrived in Tanzania in 2004 and lived in Biharamulo, working with churches, holding Bible studies and hosting a Backyard Bible Club for neighborhood kids. In 2006, I moved to Mwanza to teach English and lead youth conferences.. I met a Baptist youth leader at Nyanza Baptist Church. who had started a project to help orphans and widows in his church, community and city. He asked me to stay, but I couldn't. From 2007-2009, I lived in Iringa, where I worked with widows, orphans and street kids. I left in 2009, thinking my African dream was over though my heart stayed in Tanzania. I finally returned to Mwanza in 2013 to work with the orphan and widow project at Nyanza Baptist Church. I lived in the neighborhood and held Bible studies at my house with up tp 200 kids a week, taught Children's Church and so much more! But now it's time for a new phase of ministry and I'm excited to see what God will do with me now! |
