| Introduction | I live in France and run a B and B with my boyfriend. Since i was little i have been creative and loved making things. I especially love beads. Ive got a studio in my basement where i can design and make all things pottery, bead, silver, glass bead, jewellery related. I love being able to access and use different media in what i make. The pottery kind of came first after a night course at college in the UK. I became hooked and couldnt wait to have my own studio one day. I am self taught in silver smithing (so much still to learn!), having had a little tuition here and there. I was for a long time interested in silver, especially rings (i had a book!) and then my boyfriends dad gave me his tool box and tools which he used to use. This really got me started especially as there was a little silver inside! I love making jewellery. I will continue to make jewellery and ceramics for some time to come.My main aim is to make things that are a bit different and at the same time to hand make as many of the elements involved in each piece.My website has a good selection of what i make in my basement. www.louiselewis.net |
