| Introduction | This space aims to be a honey pot of inspiration on the profane to divine journey of parenting; notes and reminders to myself, experiences and wisdom I find that inspires me as both mother and in my yoga practice and soul journey. I have found there are moments/days when we work together in perfect flow, chatter and joy encircling us like mala beads. And, of course in equal balance, days of intense challenge, where I struggle to find solutions, patience, clarity. My goal is to unite the traditionally solitary, austere, introspective spiritual/yogic path of the ascetic with the humble, life-engaged 'love-in-action' process of family life which Patanjali desribed as the sixth/most advanced series (from Ashtanga tradition) of yoga practice - in its pure form, beyond all asana, pranayama and meditative states and in the true love of partner and child, closest to Brahman. |
