About me

Location South Africa
Introduction The Association exists to promote interaction between people of Irish nationality, ancestry or sympathies. It acts as a focal point and cultural source for people, who want to maintain links with Ireland, Irish people or things Irish. The Association is run by a President and a committee of eight people elected at an AGM in October / November each year. The Committee arranges various functions throughout the year, including Breakfasts, Theatre events, Quiz Nights etc and you are urged to attend these to meet up with other Association Members for caint, craic agus ceol (talk, diversion and music - for those who don't have the cupla focail)! The year culminates in our St Patrick's Day Dinner Dance, which is attended by over 200 people, and at which we usually host a Minister from the Irish Government and the Irish Ambassador. Your active participation in all of this is earnestly requested. We also operate a telephone information line at 021-7130154, so feel free to call if you have any queries of an Irish nature. Our Postal Address is; Irish South African Association, PostNet Suite 111, Private Bag X12, Tokai 7966
