Never mind the turtle. Don't you think you're sure to win?
No; this isn't something to be won. Life is neither game nor conflict, and there's no way to measure whether you've "won" out among the other possible routes, in other pursuits, in other beds. The language of winning, like the rhetoric of happiness, tells us that overconfidence is king, and ambition its spoils. But why not choose your own rulebook?
