| Introduction | My name is Jo Hawthorne and I am Wellesley's Science and Technology teacher. Classroom teachers can come to me for help and assistance with their classes, particularly when it comes to hands on activities. Teachers bring their classes to the science room to participate in practical tasks. Classes also complete science work within their own rooms. I also get involved when classes complete technology units, providing an extra pair of hands when needed. Having an extra teacher to assist makes doing the hands-on tasks much more fun and interesting. I love science and strongly believe that science should be fun and interesting with lots of hands on! I enjoy providing boys with opportunities to participate and get actively involved in finding out about their world around them. |
