About me

Introduction I would like to take a moment of your time to introduce myself to you. My name is Lynne Franz. As a little girl my childhood left me with fond memories that to this day put a smile on my face. I grew up on the south side of Milwaukee in a modest Irish & German neighborhood. At age 4, I remember having my first Kool-Aid stand in our front yard and selling a cold glass of Kool-Aid with ice cubes for a bargain price of 1 penny. My friends Butchie and Eileen were my partners in crime when we got caught dumping the contents of our garbage cans into our sandbox where we built an elaborate corner grocery store all made with recycled items that we found in the trash cans. Of course my mom and dad were not as thrilled as we were but I believe this was one of my most fun & precious memories of my childhood. What is most important to me now about this memory is what it taught me about the importance of letting children choose what they want to play with and to allow each child the gift of enough time to play, laugh, discover & learn.
