Introduction	A thirty-something trying to get her head round a life currently dominated by illness. After achieving remission from cancer (H.Lymphoma)in Sept 2012, I thought I had escaped my health problems. However, in May 2013 I started experiencing extreme fatigue and persistent sore throat/flu-type symptoms along with chronic joint and back pain. I had to give up work and have no idea when/if I will feel better. There are no treatments available for chronic fatigue and very little support from medical professionals. Feeling cast adrift and unsure how to proceed, I am using this time for self-mastery - i.e. learning to live with illness rather than putting my life on hold until it goes away. I hope that in sharing my experiences of living with pain and fatigue I can help others experiencing similar problems feel less alone.
Interests	Visual arts (esp. photography); literature (early 20th century mostly); folk music (inc. World and Americana); cinema (Mike Leigh, Woody Allen); healthy living and coffee (not mutually exclusive!) and most of all, conversation of a philosophical nature...not pretentious at all!
