Introduction	when i was a child, my mother told me the tales of an "apple cheeks mcgillicutty," an adventerous young girl with reddish hair and rosey red cheeks. when my daughter emma was born, i realized that she was our own little apple cheeks mcgillicutty. emma has Down syndrome. but, emma, like her pseudonym apple cheeks, is much more than her diagnosis. this blog is about her joys and challenges, adventures and misadventures, and our growth as a family along the way. hopefully, it brings you as much joy as it does me.
