| Introduction | Blessed, or cursed, with a pretty keen ability to observe the Human Condition and gifted in the use of the written word, opinion essays are a really good vehicle for sharing my world view. In my late middle age, I have farmed, worked in business, tried my hand at many things. I live here in New Bethlehem, PA with my wife and part of our blended family. In many ways, I am a traditionalist, with an unconventional streak. If it has worked, why should we change it? I believe that we have been blessed in this country and I believe that our nation exists to protect our God given liberties, not to run our lives. I like dogs, sunny days, and wildflowers.
